There is an unending plethora of the styles of these turbans in Rajasthan. There are over 1000 different ways to wear a pagri. The thickness of the pagri differs from region to region depending on the temperature of the area. Also, the color of the safa changes from season to season like in the rainy season people choose to wear turbans of lehariya fabric and during the spring season they often wear the motiya pagri which is pearl pink in color.
The length of the pagri is 82 inches long and 8 inches wide.
Nonetheless, the tradition is loosing its grip and now the wearing of safas has shifted to the occasions like wedding and other festivals. Though the fashion statement that was created by these pagris will never go out of sight, it if written on the golden pages and the pride never goes out of fashion. The safas are now a part of the groom’s attire in every wedding and not just the groom the attendees as well.

Now the only hereditary wearers of the pagris are the locals and mostly the shepherds, you’ll never miss the sight of these colourful headgear on the head of these grassroot people.
